Get Well

Good morning all.  I spoke with my brother Sunday and found out that my sister-in-law was in the hospital.  She's one of the healthiest people I know but there she was in the hospital.  She had to have her appendix removed.  She's too funny.  She asked the doctor if they could schedule it for next month.  When the doctor said oh sure when next month she started to get up to leave and he had to tell her no way.  It had to come out today.  Oh how she hates being down.  So to make recovery a little less inconvenient I made her a get well card.

I started by printing the Sassy Cheryl image Sam's Rainy Day (which is part of a three digi set) on Neenah white cardstock.  Colored with copics.  Card base is Stampin Up Real Red.  The patterned papers are Basic Grey's June Bug 6x6 pad.  I used Martha Stewart's heart border punch along with Stampin Up corner punch and some flowers from my stash.  I hope this cheers her up a bit.  That's all for today.  I'll see you again tomorrow.

Stampin Up Card

Happy Friday once again!  Woot Woot!  I am ready for the weekend.  I bet you are as well.  Moving on to today's card.  I start by stampin the flower bunch from Stampin Up's Bordering on Romance (which is retired) on Neenah white card stock.  I used my copics to color.  My card base is Stampin Up Not Quite Navy with mats of Bashful Blue (also retired) and Stampin Up Twitterpated designer papers (retired).  Added flat back pearls to the flower centers and part of a bling flourish in the corners.  And that does it.  I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Pretty Plaid Flowers

Good morning!  Wow this month is moving quickly.  We're halfway through already.  I won't even blink in case I miss something.  I need to get off my duff and start making stuff.  I have a lot of cards to make for August birthdays.  I need to get those done so I can move on to Christmas crafts.  If I don't start soon I'll run out of time to get everything done.  I am a world class PROCRASTINATOR!

Any was on to today's card.  I have become quite addicted to digital stamps.  And I thought I would hate them.  I have printed a Power Poppy digi Countryside Bouquet on Neenah white card stock. Colored with Copics (oranges - YR02, YR04, YR07, R24 * yellows - Y32, Y35, Y38 * pinks - RV21, RV23, RV25 * greens - G21, G24, G28, G40, G43, BG93).  Stampin Up's Barely Banana is my card base with a layer of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid patterned paper.  I matted the image with Barely Banana.  Added orange gems and called it a day.  I really like the oranges and pinks together.  That's it for now.  See you tomorrow.

Tiddly Inks Wren

Well, it's the start of a new week.  I didn't get any cards made this weekend.  I had planned to get a couple done but my book called to me instead.  So today I'll share one I made earlier.  This is a super simple card.  Base is Stampin Up Basic Black card stock with a layer of Whisper White and then another black layer.  Then I used Martha Stewart's Doily Lace border punch for a white layer and then a black with white dots patterned paper from my stash.  Finished it with a thin strip of white card stock for a ribbon look.  The image is colored with copics, fussy cut and popped up with foam dots. The image is digital Tiddly Inks Wren Grow a Little Love.

Taylored Expressions Flowers

Happy Friday!  It has been a crazy week.  I took a little time off at the first of the week to flow into the 4th of July holiday.  I had big plans for my time off too.  Only you know what they say about plans......... Anyway my A/C unit died Sunday and you know South Texas is hot, hot, hot, hot, hot in the summer.  So no card making for me.  We do have A/C again so I'm going to try and hit the August birthday cards again this weekend.  In the mean time I have this one to share.

I started with Stampin Up Crumb Cake card stock with a Basic Black layer.  On top of that is a layer of My Minds Eye Miss Caroline patterned paper.  I stamped the Taylored Expressions Daisy Bouquet, colored it with copics and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I cut out the Spellbinder Picot Edge Circle in Basic Black card stock with a white circle.  Then I popped the flowers up with foam dots.  The ribbon and black pearls are from my stash.  That's it, hope you like it and hope you have a great weekend.  Back next week with new cards.

Calendar Gift

Happy Friday!  My but it was a looooong time getting here.  At least it was for me.  Today I'm going to share a project.  I made these cute little easel card calendar/post it note holders for co-workers.  I got the inspiration here.  I followed the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers here.  I used Stampin Up Daffodil Delight card stock.  The patterned paper is Piggy Tales It's Raining It's Pouring.  The tear off calendar is also from Splitcoaststampers here (this is 2018).   The flowers are from Michael's and the post it notes from the $1 store.  That's all for today.  I hope you all have a wonderful 4th.  See you next week.

Tiddly Inks Book Lover

Hello Everyone.  I'm here with another super cute card.  At least I think so.  This one uses Tiddly Inks School Girl.  I love to read as does my oldest granddaughter.  Maybe that's why I love this image so.  I printed her on Neenah cardstock and colored her with copics. My card base is Stampin Up Real Red.  The alphabet down the side is October Afternoon Sidewalk paper pad.  I added some red ribbon, button and some enamel dots to finish it off.  I am really please with the end result.  I'll see you tomorrow.  Have a great day.

Birthday Cowboy

Well we've made it to the middle of the week.  Whoop, just a few more days until and little down time.  Until then here is today's card.  It's a birthday card for my Brother-in-Law.  The card base is Stampin Up Barely Banana (which is retired) with a Basic Grey layer on top.  The patterned papers are from October Afternoon Sarsaparilla pad.  The cute little cow boy is QKR Stampede digi stamp which is availabe in rubber or digi.  I colored him with copics and used Spellbinders circle dies to cut him out.  The star is My Favorite Things stacking star die-namic.  The front sentiment and the inside are both computer generated.  I also used MFT die-namic barbed wire fence (which I believe is retired).
I thought little whistling cowboy turned out really cute.  That's it for now.  Again tomorrow.

Redonkadoodles Birthday

Hello folks.  It's Monday once again.  Today I have a birthday card for my Sister-in-Law.  I started by printing the Redonkadoodles image on Neenah card stock.  Used Stampin Up Poppy Parade to mat the image along with Die Cut With a View's Citrus papers. Colored with copics and fussy cut her out. I tried to use the out of box with Nesties technique but for the life of me I cannot get it right.  I glued the cake directly to the circle which I cut out with Spellbinders circle dies and the main image on foam dots for some dimension.  Finished it off with Stampin Ups Real Red grosgrain ribbon and an assortment of buttons, Sizzix heart and the by hand fishtail sentiment which was computer generated. This goes in the mail today hopefully for a Wednesday delivery.  I hope she likes her card. That's it for today.

Paper Shelter for the Road

Happy Friday friends.  I am so ready for the weekend.  My daughter is off with friends for the weekend so it's just me and the dog and hopefully a lot of card making.  We have a ton of birthdays coming in August and a head start would be great.  Anyway let's get to today's card.

It's a birthday card for my oldest nephew.  I have a Neenah white card base with a strip of Doodlebug Anchors Aweigh patterned paper.  I then cut a strip of black card stock and added dashes down the center with a Stampin Up Chalk maker.  The sentiment at the top is computer generated and cut using Spellbinders Labels One die and cut the top off.  Then I cut by hand a little larger one out of Stampin Up Brilliant Blue to mat it on so it wasn't lost on the white card.  Added some Doodlebug enamel dots.  The digital image is from The Paper Shelter here.  I used Promarkers to color him then fussy cut him and popped him up with foam dots.  I hope my nephew likes it.  That's all for now.  Have a great weekend.
